It feels like years.

[ Whenever he gets to that point, sometimes he barely spends a day when he's dropped off in the countryside. Sometimes, he would be lucky to spend a week... But that's if he survives that long. It reminds him of how long it really has been since he's seen his family. As much as he loves Futaba and Sojiro all the same, each new beginning means rebuilding their trust and earning their love. Over and over... Constantly, he had to fight for the place he knew he belonged.

For a second, time shows as weariness in his grey eyes that cast their gaze idly elsewhere, looking at nothing in particular. A small meow snaps his focus back. He raises his head and looks back over, tilting his head at Goro's odd question with his usual expression.

Did it leave a bad taste in yours when I landed in Tokyo? [ No, he already knows the answer. Those years were filled with envy and contempt, unfounded or not, were all too glaring as he repeated them. He saw it in Goro's posture, heard it in his words... And sometimes he would find other things that tell him the opposite. ] I'm grateful for your company.

[ Whether it's good or bad company, he doesn't go into detail. In the end, through these endless cycles, Goro is the only one that is even remotely aware of the cycles... He's the only one that shares at least several recollections. To end their visit at this shop, he pokes the cat's nose and it meows at him before trying to nip his finger. Kitty no like. ]

There's a small shop that makes some really good dango.

[ Something sweet as a treat. It only takes a couple of steps to exit, then he points over to the place. It's a cozy, quaint storefront with snacks displayed behind the window. ]
